La
Salvetat sur Agoût,
the heart of Parc Naturel due Haut Languedoc,
is situated at
an altitude of 700 meters. The park is a varied area of 640.000 acres and only
84.000 inhabitants. It comprises both lowland, home of the famous wines like
Berlou, Frontignan, Faugères, St Chinian, and rough mountains of the Somail,
Espinouse, Sidobre, Caroux and Montagne Noire.

La
Salvetat won the qualifications “Station Verte de Vacances” and “Un des plus
beaux Villages de France ». Since 1992 Evian has marketed a sparkling water
named La Salvetat. It is obtained from
this area, which shows the purity of the environment.
La Salvetat has developed into a centre of
mainly active tourism. Being situated between two lakes, the village and
surroundings offer splendid opportunities for relaxation through exercise.
