About Camping le Peyral
Camping le Peyral is a friendly family campsite nestled in the nature of Southern France, within the Parc Naturel du Haut Languedoc. The campsite is located on a beautiful 12-hectare estate, 3 hectares of which are set up as a campsite. It’s a green oasis with very spacious pitches and unique accommodations. You can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and completely unwind with family, friends, or simply on your own. Back to basics, and close to nature.
Le Peyral is situated at an altitude of 700 meters. During the day, temperatures can rise significantly, but as soon as the sun sets, it cools down quickly, and the nights are wonderfully cool and fresh—perfect for a refreshing night’s sleep! However, don’t forget to bring a warm sleeping bag.
Enjoy, Discover, and Meet
At Camping le Peyral, you can choose whether you want peace and quiet or a lively atmosphere. On our very spacious pitches, you’ll be surrounded by greenery and the sound of chirping birds. This is not a "hedged-in" campsite, but unique terraced pitches that offer privacy for all types of camping equipment. At the highest points of the campsite, you’ll feel as if you’re wild camping, while the kids are off having fun in the adventure forest, on the pirate ship, or jumping on the trampoline.
The Heart of the Campsite
We’ve also created "The Heart of the Campsite," a terrace that serves as the vibrant center of our campsite. Here, guests can connect with one another, read a book, enjoy a refreshing cold drink, play board games, and soak up the lively atmosphere. It’s also where our communal dining evenings take place three times a week.
Play
Children love nothing more than playing (together). The campsite offers plenty of space for them to run wild. There is a large playground with a trampoline, pirate ship, ping pong table, and pétanque court. Additionally, there is a mud kitchen where children can get messy and prepare meals for passersby on the campsite. For the youngest children, there is a playhouse with a sandbox on the lower field.
Next to the swimming pool is a "play forest," where a secret hut has been built, and children can spend hours playing. Additionally, 2SUR5 organizes archery activities every week on the sheep field behind the pool.
Relax, Swim, and go on Adventure
In addition to the campsite’s own lovely swimming pool, it is also surrounded by two beautiful lakes. These lakes are about an eight-minute drive away and are easily accessible by bike as well. You can swim, wakeboard, rent a boat, try stand-up paddleboarding, or simply relax under a tree. On the way back, you can stop by one of the markets, delicatessen shops, or small supermarkets to buy local products.
There are also numerous walking, cycling, and mountain biking routes around the campsite and in the surrounding area. The natural park, Le Parc naturel régional du Haut-Languedoc, where the campsite is located, is breathtaking and perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities.
