The South of France is renowned for its vibrant markets, where tradition and conviviality come together. During your stay at our campsite, a visit to a local market is an absolute must. There, you’ll experience the authentic French atmosphere: colorful stalls filled with fresh vegetables, aged cheeses, fragrant herbs, and handcrafted products.

Whether you prefer the buzz of a large market in a picturesque town or the charm of a smaller village market, the markets in the region offer something for everyone. Below, you’ll find an overview of the local markets. At reception, you’ll also find a handy weekly schedule of all the markets in the area. La Salvetat-sur-Agoût

In "our village," located about 3 km from the campsite, there are two weekly markets.
Every Thursday and Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the village center. You’ll find a variety of local products here, ranging from fresh vegetables and fruits to artisanal goods.

Saint-Pons-de-Thomières

In Saint-Pons, there are two markets per week.
On Wednesday, you’ll find the largest market in the region (a 25-minute drive) from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Place des Tilleuls and Place du Foirail. This market offers a wide range of local producers and artisans.
On Sunday, there is a smaller market held at Les Halles, located at Place des Tilleuls, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Although smaller, this market provides a friendly atmosphere and a selection of local products.

Lacaune

Every Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Located about 13 km from La Salvetat-sur-Agoût, this market offers a variety of local specialties. The market in Lacaune has an authentic atmosphere and a diverse selection of regional products.

Anglès

Every Wednesday, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Located about 13 km from La Salvetat-sur-Agoût, this smaller market features local products.

Saint-Chinian

This is the largest market in the region, held on Thursday and Sunday on the Promenade, in the heart of Saint-Chinian, about 40 km from La Salvetat-sur-Agoût. Here, you’ll find a wide variety of local products, such as fresh vegetables, cheeses, wines, and artisanal goods.
On one of these market days, usually Sunday, the market is combined with a brocante—a great opportunity to discover unique antiques and second-hand treasures.
